Kelsey (Owner/Stylist)
Ever since Kelsey was a little girl, it was always her dream to become a hairstylist. At the age of 16, Kelsey started on her journey as an assistant in a salon while she attended cosmetology school. Kelsey became a licensed hairstylist in 2007, working with her own clients in the beauty industry. When Kelsey was 20 years old, she set a goal to become a salon owner by the age of 30. She made this goal a reality when she opened Salon 13 in October 2017! Kelsey is extremely passionate about her profession and enjoys working with a diverse range of clients. She graduated from The Cosmetology Academy at Douglas Education Center in January 2008, receiving an Associate’s Degree in Specialized Business and a Master’s in Cosmetology. Throughout Kelsey’s career she has achieved many accomplishments, including obtaining a Cosmetology License, Cosmetology Teacher’s License and Esthetician’s Certificate. Kelsey is also certified in “Lavish Lashes Eyelash Extensions.”

Lindsey (Stylist)
Lindsey became part of Salon 13’s beauty squad in June 2018, bringing more than a decade of prior experience behind the chair. She especially loves doing creative haircuts, blondes, and fashion colors. Lindsey is not only passionate about making her clients look and feel amazing while at the salon, but also sharing tips and tricks to maintain their look at home.

Kaylee (Stylist)
Kaylee started her career as a licensed hair stylist in 2017 after graduating from North Allegheny High School and A.W. Beattie Career Center. She started cosmetology school in 2014 and by 2016 was working as an assistant in a salon in order to advance her skills before working behind the chair. Kaylee has a love for everything hair, especially haircuts, blow outs, and blonding. In her spare time, you can find her working on her never ending craft projects or snuggling with her dog Daisy!

Tia (Stylist)
Tia graduated from Bella Capelli Monroeville in 2019. She enjoys experimenting with hair coloring, especially using vivid colors. Tia’s favorite haircut request is any type of mullet. Outside of being a stylist, she’s a proud fur mom to two wild child dogs, Ryder and Miss Piggy, as well as a sassy cat named Mesek! If Tia’s not at work, you can find her outdoors, with friends, or watching TikToks about new hair trends. In addition to her love for hair, Tia enjoys music, tattoos (of course!), a good sour ale at a local brewery, and traveling.

Jenn (Part-Time Nail Technician)
We excitedly welcome Jenn, who specializes in Dry manicuring and Luminary Multi-Flex Structured Gel and who has been licensed for two years and putting out some really amazing nail art (check it out on Instagram!)
She graduated from the Fountain of Youth Academy of Cosmetology and enjoys taking classes to further her education and skills as a nail technician. Nail art, particularly florals, has become her favorite creative outlet. Jen’s go-to product is Luminary. Jenn has been married for 20 years and is a proud mom of two teenage daughters and a German shepherd pup named Otto. A breast cancer survivor, she loves reading, crafting, coffee, and Diet Coke.

Marie (Full-Time Receptionist)
Client turned receptionist, Marie comes from an extensive background in customer service and management, but most recently has enjoyed her time as a stay-at-home mom. When Marie’s not running around the salon, you’ll find her running after her two kids and spending time with her husband in their new home. She has a love for interior design and appreciates a good dad joke.
Mandi (Part-Time Receptionist)
Long time friend of Kelsey, Mandi joined Salon 13 as a receptionist. After working as a stylist in the industry for 12 years, Mandi returned to school to embrace a career change in respiratory therapy. Mandi continues to maintain her employment as a respiratory therapist while working at Salon 13 to provide an enjoyable experience for all clients. In 2023, Mandi married her best friend Ryan, and they share a love for their two fur babies, Zane and Nellie. When she’s not working, Mandi finds joy being on any body of water, as well as enjoying music, movies, video games, and traveling, and is always down to trying new things.
Brooke (Assistant)
Brooke is currently in her second year at Beattie for cosmetology and in the 11th grade.
K, Kailie, (Assistant)
K recently graduated in 2024 from Shaler High School and received her licenses in cosmetology from Beattie.
